Secure Web Delivery is a Software Solution that enables users to retrieve fully diagnostic DICOM images and reports ( NOT the industry standard compressed, non-diagnostic avi, Mpeg, bmp or quick time files) remotely from their web server via a high speed internet connection. SWD provides fast, secure, HIPAA-compliant access to image related studies from any location world-wide that has access to high speed internet.

Studies can be retrieved from an ACCESSPOINT PACS Archive, from existing Philips EnConcert/Xcelera systems, from Siemens KinetDx or any other DICOM PACS or Cath . Any DICOM study including CT, Ultrasound, MRI, Nuclear, Radiology and/or Mammography can be delivered in its original, diagnostic form.

Secure Web Deliver is fast and efficient. It is convenient and improves the delivery of patient care. It can reduce travel requirements, save money and provide true professional freedom. The ability to read studies is limited by neither location nor time.

How it works

AccessPoint Secure Web Delivery is a combination of server hardware and software that is installed on a network to access archived studies. With a high speed connection studies are retrieved from the archive.

ACCESSPOINT Web provides the user interface. After logging in to the remote SWD server a search is made by patient name, patient ID number, study date, study type or a variety of other search options. The system will retrieve those studies meeting the criteria, complete with any existing report and generate a log that tracks all users and all retrieved studies.

After receiving SSL security encryption, the study is sent to the user and displayed on ACCESSPOINT Web. The study viewed on ACCESSPOINT Web (a medical viewer) is the original, fully diagnostic DICOM standard study with no additional compression. A physician can view the study and complete the report from anywhere in the world exactly as if he/she were in his/her office.

• Dell hardware with optional 1TB storage.
• High speed Internet connection for both sender and receiver
• Pentium 4 with minimum 512 MB Ram

Upload/Download speeds

Download speeds are only as fast as the upload speed of the internet connection; therefore, it is important that the upload and download connection are the same, i.e. DSL, T1, or cable. Below is a time chart for downloading a 50MB study at various speeds.
