ACCESSPOINT DICOM Server is a flexible enterprise application server with industry standard DICOM architecture. It is windows based for simplified operation and management. It receives DICOM studies from all DICOM modalities and stores and indexes them in an SQL database for accelerated access. The SQL database provides highly reliable, HIPAA-compliant storage of multi-modality enterprise sized archives.

ACCESSPOINT DICOM Server utilizes a unique virtual architecture that allows for the consolidation of numerous servers into one, easy to support, multi-functional server. Storage can be configured as needed and one program can store any diagnostic study including CT, MRI, Ultrasound, nuclear and X-Ray into individual storage resources.

A store and forward feature allows each DICOM virtual server to copy itself to another DICOM server for backup and distribution to other sites. This feature makes it an essential tool for connecting remote sites and for maintaining off-site archives. It also eliminates the need for multiple stand alone DICOM servers.

The ACCESSPOINT Server can utilize any storage resource from a simple local hard disk to a full enterprise storage area network (SAN)
